We spilled the beans to Knight Captain Stannard About dispatching the fake city guards She seemed to take the news in stride And suggested that we should take a ride Out to one of Saladbar's scouted spots But we took a moment to ask her thoughts On whether Zakaria's forces had turned And she told us tomorrow we'll go and learn We cashed in our collection of gems And each got the gold that was owed to them We each headed off on our own separate ways And took care of business for the rest of the day We gathered at Will's to discuss our next steps His abode had us all very impressed He served a fine meal as our notes we compared Juniper had news that gave us despair Serpentwind had some powdered mana Which we felt was damning if you had it on ya But we felt some relief at having found A possible link to the Saladbar's underground We all got some rest without interruption Then went to Zakaria to suss out corruption But when we arrived, we were displeased to find Serpentwind and Wardsen already inside Juniper once more located with magic And once her findings seemed quite tragic Not one medallion could she find Perhaps we'd been beaten by some mastermind She and Hoj raced around the campsite Hoping that somehow they just might Detect something somewhere that give us a lead As to who in dear Rampart was up to misdeeds They captured Anka, a cranky half-Orc Who felt owed her magic and clearly was torqued She insisted that magic was clearly her right And would have attacked if she weren't bound up tight We questioned her but she didn't know much Her contact left it that he'd be in touch We turned her over to the City Guard And proceeded to question Loreena quite hard In the end we decided she wasn't a leak In fact, it turned out, she was simply a geek To her the mana powder was quite a concern About something which she had a lot yet to learn The leaders assured us that they could track down The cult leaders who lead Saladbar's underground For now it was best if we once again left The city of Rampart and headed out west To the ruined settlement and mysterious cave To see if Rampart we could magically save And as we were the only remaining magicians It prepared to set off on this dangerous mission
