Fenn introduced us to his brand new crew Whose names were quite bad and of which I'll spare you Our gaze turned upon the red, salt-flatsy ground And we all decided to go look around Juniper fell down into a big hole And quickly determined we had found our goal The ruins in there were worth a good search And so we went down to conduct some research In times past we've been clumsy descending in pits But this time we made quite a good show of it Vale misty stepped down after quite a bold jump And from that display Rys was feeling quite pumped He strummed his bandora and flew down in style Towing Selene on his feet all the while Fenn spread his arms wide and his imps grabbed ahold And lowered him down, 'twas a sight to behold Everyone else chose to use simple ropes We didn't enjoy their lackluster approach But we all ended up in the hole safe and sound And started to have ourselves a look around Bronze panels and rivets comprised floors and walls The light was quite dim going down all the halls Fenn and Selene started creeping away Juniper raced ahead to join in the fray The group blindly followed 'cause that's our M.O. Vale disarmed some traps so we safely could go Mugs figured she might steal a blade from the wall But after some tries made no progress at all Junispider roamed forth and found an odd room One with some gems aglow amongst the gloom They were wedged in a table along with some tubes We all stood and argued 'bout what we should do Rys volunteered George to stick in his dead hand Fenn kept his dear zombie out of such a plan Then Hoj just decided to stick his hand in And that's when things started to really get grim Hoj started screaming and smelling quited cooked And behind us a noise made the whole party look Out of the wall came two lightning creatures And what happened next is a harrowing blur Rys Fairie Fired, Mugs tugged on some gems, A big bolt of frost came from the hands of Fenn Junispider found herself locked out of the room Vale took shots at Larry and then came our doom Larry shot lightning bolts straight into Hoj And some in our party weren't able to dodge Vale was knocked out by the force of the blow And this was how most of the battle would go Laura joined in with a bolt of her own Hoj was knocked out and his body went prone His hand was still stuck in the shiny console We all felt concerned he'd lose more than his soul Will shot at Larry, Selene moved to dispel Lyrad took aim and gave Larry some hell The monster dispersed and we figured him dead "Shocking" is all succinct Lyrad had said The Imps struck at Laura as Mugs stared and gawked At the gems glowing brighter each time Hoj was shocked Rys healed up Hoj who woke up to much pain And quickly was lightninged unconscious again Mugs threw a dagger, Fenn cast out some frost Junispider arrived and thought all might be lost She shot webs at Laura and somehow they stuck No one could explain Junispider's good luck Vale groaned and held on but then things took a turn Laura broke free and once more a lightning bolt burned Through most of our party and many did fall Selene, Vale, and Mugs were KO'd by it all Then Larry added a bolt of his own Causing our fallen to writhe, squirm, and groan Three Imps fell as well and then turned into dust It seemed like our party 'twas 'bout to go bust That last bolt did something to all of the gems The console was shining like 'twas new again Laura and Larry then quickly dispersed And our party's wounds, we quickly did nurse We argued and argued 'bout what to do next Rys pointed out most of the party was wrecked He pouted and tantrumed and threw quite a fit Until, to a long rest, the group would commit The tiny hut went up, and most hunkered down Lyrad stayed up and Mugs looked all around The sparkly, bright gemstones had now caught her eye And to her willpower she soon said "goodbye" She pried at the console to free up a gem And didn't reply when Lyrad coughed, "ahem?!" It was no longer time for Lyrad to be nice So Lyrad just pushed Mugs right off the device Mugs went to sulk while the Imps snooped about And soon they had pulled one of the bright tubes out And Lyrad then saw a peculiar sight A movie played out via tricks of the light There was a robed figure, and soon then a crown A sphere full of symbols drew a creature down Some sort of stake or a poker twist wrench? And some portal closing, it barely made sense Lyrad attempted to rouse all the crew But Rys just rolled over and quickly withdrew Vale looked it all over, then laid down his head And detected a portal mere feet from our stead As we awakened Vale shared his strange news And we all debated 'bout what we should do Go look at more rooms, we decided at last We then found a mirror that started to flash
