We followed dull Gymothee to the dead drop While Lyrad would sometimes tell us all to stop To avoid some hazards and various things About of which all are too boring to sing We reached some stone stairs and we checked out the place And Mugs scared poor Gym when she took on Kelv's face Hoj spotted a chest and went in for a look And backwards a step the rest of us all took Hoj found the chest empty but then came a flash With five Matris' cultists we soon came to clash Rys started the fight with some Dissonant words His target's pants were soon brimming with turds Lyrad shot a pair of our enemies Hoj set another aflame with great ease Mugs dropped that guy while he was still ablaze And Will shot a couple while they were still dazed Hulk dutifully trampled an adversary While Juniper ran over so she could see How a cultist was doing after he had fell It seemed that the guy wasn't doing so well We wanted a captive so we could then ask Who had been the one to send them on this task So Juniper threw a goodberry with skill Into the guy's mouth so he wouldn't be killed Of course that foul cultist did not give her praise Instead an odd crystal in his hand was raised And into his abdomen 'twas quickly plunged And so the guy's life seemed have been expunged But, oh, in his place came an unwelcome sight A large pair of bugs showed up ready to fight And that is, my friends, where the fight took a turn When _not_ to show mercy, would we ever learn? One bug cast a shadow upon Mugs and crew Near Rys and Vale 'swhere other one drew And released an acrid and poisonous cloud They couldn't see anything in that green shroud Vale misty stepped and attacked the first bug Rys tried to burn up his chitinous thug Lyrad beset upon Vale's bug with shots While Hoj ran through darkness, alone with his thoughts Hulk was commanded to trample some more And a cultist's health potion was smashed on the floor From the dark, Mugs ran as fast as she could But the dark seemed to follow her 'round in the woods With a couple of shots, Will did pepper Vale's pest And Vale killed the thing with a sword to the chest But the insect still had one more awful surprise It released a gross cloud, stinging everyone's eyes Juniper summoned some friendly brown bears Who bravely charged into the befouled air In a plan to save Rys who was choking to death If he were to pass the whole crew'd be bereft But the louse near to Rys must have swollen with pride As he drove his large trident into the bard's side But then scurried off into places unknown Before its malodorous cover was blown Now I'll warn you, quite gently, about this next part And though you may crave every word of my art What follows may leave you most awfully distraught It's at your discretion to proceed or not On this day our hero, Rys, fought with great flair But singing epic battle hymns takes much air His lungs had thus filled up with poisonous haze And thus he now suffered an awful malaise Slowly our champion did fall to his knees The fog making him quite unable to see That his friends burst in tears as he suffered and fell But he heard the loud wracking of their sobs quite well Or perhaps the very heavens had rent in twain As Rys fought against this most staggering pain But even the mighty have been known to fall And soon Rys was answering heaven's sweet call "It is not your time" a voice said to the bard "You must go back, even though it is quite hard" "For me to pass up on this wonderful chance" "To have you come play for me while I dance" "Someday you'll play for me at all my balls" "Your songs, they will echo throughout my great halls" "But your friends, neigh the world, need your groundbreaking art" "So as much as it pains me, you must now depart" Rys opened his eyes and he mounted a bear Who ran with great speed into the now fresh air "He lives! Oh thank goodness!" his party all cried "We fell in despair when we thought you had died" "My friends, have no worries" Rys said with with a smile "I assure you I'm staying with you quite a while" The party then cheered and rejoiced with great glee At the return of their fav'rite bard celebrity
