- After the fight, Juniper was quite cross
Her bear picked up Gym and gave him a rough toss
Over to Hoj, and said "this one's all yours"
"I'm heading off to go loot me a corpse"
"I just got free, fighting's not meant for me"
Was the excuse proffered by poor Gymothee
"I swear that I'd never seen such an attack"
"There's little I could have done to have your back"
We found us some treasure and also a note
"Dispose of Kelv quickly" is what someone wrote
The letter smelled acrid and had a bad scent
And then back to Edge Cliff is where we all went
We gathered up Edard, still waiting of course
And Juniper summoned a great breed of horse
We went back to Rampart and entered that town
But Mugs and our Druid failed to keep their lunch down
They threw up some worms and Hoj burned them to ash
Around came some guards and some questions they asked
Apparently what our two friends had was plague
Though the guard's medical knowledge seemed awfully vague
Juniper opted to change to a bird
And on the guards' shoulders deposited turds
They summoned a healer or maybe a priest
Though about all these details, this bard cared the least
Vale and the sun dude spoke at quite a length
About lots of things such as Vale's healing strength
Juniper seemed like she was quite disturbed
So all over the sun dude, she dropped some more turds
Back to the Walden we quickly returned
And told the Treemother all that we had learned
And while we all feasted, were healed, and were cleaned
Treemother explained all about quarantine
The afflicted had worms, maybe one, maybe two
But out of the body those wormies burst through
And then they would wriggle about and would fight
Anyone close enough that they could bite
Our party was wondering what we should do next
When Treemother told Rys that something had her vexed
It seemed that the townsfolk were spreading some hype
About some new bard who rocked out on bagpipes
Rys seemed dismissive and quite unconcerned
About this new rival of whom he'd just learned
But deep in his heart, the bard felt abject fear
That some other bard might derail his career
The party decided to rest and to shop
Before we decided about our next stop
And so we all split up the spoils from our fights
And went off to shop before resting that night
